DESIREA RODGERSCreative Director/Co-Founder Love146DESIREA RODGERS is a co-founder and the creative director for Love146. Desirea also works as a photographer, raising awareness of the modern day slave trade. Previous to Love146, Desirea spent ten years working within the U.S. and abroad in leadership training and community based outreach programs for Youth With A Mission. She is currently developing The Story Project, which will incorporate photography and the stories of children who have been rescued out of the sex trade. |
LAMONT HIEBERTRecording Artist/Co-Founder Love146LAMONT HIEBERT is a co-founder of Love146 and worked as the Executive Director until the spring of 2006. Before launching Love146, Lamont established himself as a successful songwriter and recording artist as the front man for Ten Shekel Shirt. In order to help pioneer and develop programs for Love146 Lamont set his music career aside. Now, after working as a modern-day abolitionist for 4 years, Lamont has re-launched as a solo artist and is dedicating most of his music to victims of exploitation, abuse and slavery and those who work on their behalf. KATHY MASKELLUS Advocacy DirectorKATHY MASKELL is the U.S. Advocacy Director for Love146. Kathy graduated from the University of Chicago with an A.B. in English and from City College, CUNY with a high honors MS. Ed in education. As a national speaker and primary U.S. liason for Love146, she is passionate to show how the call for justice and restoration intersects with our lives in the United States. Kathy focuses on developing a U.S. prevention strategy that focuses on advocacy to prevent trafficking through partnerships, campaigns, and strategic conferences. Kathy draws on her eight years of teaching experience in her current work to initiate Love146 student chapters, Love146 Taskforces and expand Love146´s Faith Community Network. She also oversees research and creates materials that are designed to engage and educate people about the plight of children enslaved through trafficking. In addition, she directs Love146's internship program. Kathy serves on the steering committee of Asha Forum-North America and End Internet Trafficking Coalition. |
